Honey Pot Hounds is a small, home based show kennel in southern New Hampshire
owned by Cindy and Jim Williams. We started with a "Free" Beagle named Buster.
He was given to us from a local hunter and came bearing the label "Failed Hunting
Dog" and carrying a lot of emotional baggage. But inside that sad little Beagle
was a friendly soul with a lot of spirit and so our love of the little hounds
was born.
AKC Field CH bred "Eli's Bonnie's Buster" chasing bunnies
2001
Shortly thereafter we decided that another Beagle might help Buster
come further out of his shell and after a long search for just the right Beagle, our Honey came to join our family. Honey was sent to
us from the prestigious Lanbur kennels owned by Jon Woodring & Wade
Burns of Advance, NC. She worked her magic beautifully and before we knew
it we were showing Beagles and a love of the sport of dogs was
born!
Honey earned her Championship in one year of limited showing
thanks to the help of many good friends and mentors in the breed.
We could never list them all here as there were so many folks who
helped us in so many different ways. Honey is now Ch. Lanbur Lil
Mis Honey Pot and is the foundation bitch of Honey Pot Hounds.
Honey has been a dream come true from the first moment we saw
her at the airport, to our first shows, to Westminster twice,
to delivering several wonderful litters of beautiful puppies for
us, to nursing a litter of orphans along with her own. She has
done everything we have ever asked of her and more.
We know how very lucky we were to have been blessed with such a wonderful girl as Honey for our first showbeagle.
